Tenerife Vs. FC Sevilla

Tenerife and Sevilla will be both chasing three important points on Saturday evening. There is no secret to Tenerife’s plan for survival this year: making the Heliodoro Rodriguez Lopez a fortress and making the journey to the Canary Islands an even longer one for their visitors. The hosts are in 15th place on ten points for three home wins and one draw at their home ground. It is well known fact that many other clubs have some problems here. On the other side, their away form is poor and lost all five away games. Tenerifes attacking tandem Nino and Richi was their strongest weapon last season, but they scored only seven times in ten Primera Division games.

Third-placed Sevilla are in good form. Rojiblancos have won ten matches from fourteen in all competitions. They have definitely more quality and experience in the squad like the newcommer. There is enough quality in this team, mainly in the offense. Their main goal in the recent season is to qualify for Europe’s elite club competition for the third time in their history. It’s these kind of matches that often separate the champions from the pretenders and Sevilla will be tested today. They are a strong competitor and play very attractive football.

Deportivo La Coruna Vs. Atletico Madrid

Atletico make the tough trip this weekend, where they will be hosted by Deportivo La Coruna at the Estadio Riazor. Home team is one of the teams capable of qualifying for Europa Cup. This season they started very well and have nineteen points after ten rounds. Their attack is far from fearful, but defense is mean, which allows them to claim many games by the odd goal. Deportivo are dangerous especially at home ground. They are doing great at Riazor this season, as they lost only once to Espanyol, while they celebrated three wins over Malaga, Sevilla and Villarreal. The hosts will be looking for their seventh win today.

The season has not begun well for Atletico Madrid. The visitors have won only once in the league and are in 18th place. They lost 3-2 against Real Madrid in their last home match at Vicente Calderon. Main goal was to strengthen the defence from last season, but Los Colchoneros have conceded 22 goals in ten games this season. They must not drop any more points and must concentrate and perform in this game which will be a difficult match. Although Atletico aren’t in-form, there is a big potential in their squad.

Real Madrid Vs. Racing Santander

The fans of Los Blancos are euphoric after team rebuild and they expect only wins. Real have 25 points after ten matchdays and are in second place one point behind Barcelona. Last weekend they won 3–2 over Atletico in the 145rd edition of El Derbi Madrileño. Manuel Pellegrini has a lot of good players at disposal and they could carry the burden of upcoming tough matches. They hosts want to exert maximum pressure on Santander this evening and take all three points.

Racing believe that they will be able to use any mistake of the rivals that are ahead of them on the standings, because they desperately need the points. The visitors are bottom of the table in 17th position with seven points. They have conceded 19 goals so far and need to improve the overall defensive system. Santander have to produce something special and their defence must have a great day if they want to be successful in this game.

Athletic Bilbao Vs. FC Barcelona

Athletic‘s form was going downwards and coach Joaquin Caparros was starting to feel under a little bit of pressure. But the hosts won their last two games against Atletico Madrid and Racing Santander and they are actually in 8th position with sixteen points. Bilbao are team with good discipline and endurance. The game against Barcelona this weekend will be far from easy, but the level of confidence will be high. Blaugranas are not a side that Athletic enjoy to playing against. They were defeated in six games from seven by their opponents.

Barcelona are still in 1st place with 26 points and with impressive score 28:7. They are unbeaten in ten Primera Division games. The visitors will go there with the same mentality as in the previous games, looking to attack, creating chances and trying to win. They can win every game this season if they maintain their current form. Barcelona is a team that strikes fear into the hearts of all because they still produce spectacular football. I think we will see another great performance from them.
